During the 2020 pandemic Riot Games faced a problem: their partner teams would normally enjoy in person promotion at their regional finals, but they wouldn’t be able to fulfil that duty to them this year.

The solution? Allow every team their own content time on the remote broadcast.

I was given complete creative control over a 2 minute video piece, which we dedicated to the fans. The fans who couldn’t be there to cheer on their favourite team, and normally didn’t really get a spotlight.

Turning around a video from scratch within 48 hours wasn’t optimal, but the result was perfect.

The fans loved it. The 100.000 viewers of the live broadcast responded in the masses.

The goal of honouring the fans during this difficult and unique time was completely met.
